Do I need a ticket?

Yes. All public attendees require a valid ticket for entry.

Children under 12 are admitted free with a ticketed adult.

Can I leave and return later?

Yes. Re-entry is permitted with a valid wristband or event credential.

Are tickets refundable?

No. All ticket sales are final.

The Tidewater Highland Games takes place rain or shine.

Are pets allowed?

No pets are permitted.

Service animals assisting guests with disabilities are welcome.

Are firearms permitted?

No firearms or weapons of any kind are permitted at the Tidewater Highland Games.

This includes concealed carry firearms, knives, explosives, fireworks, or other weapons, regardless of permit status.

Law enforcement personnel on official duty are exempt.

Is parking available?

Yes. Paid parking will be available at Historic Greenbrier Farms.

Parking details and directions will be released closer to the Games.

Are coolers permitted?

Outside food, beverages, coolers, and alcohol are not permitted.

Food and drink vendors will be part of the Games during the weekend.

Can I bring folding chairs or a canopy?

Folding chairs and blankets are welcome in general spectator areas. Canopies, gazebos, and pop-up tents are not permitted.

Is the event accessible?

Historic Greenbrier Farms is a working farm with open fields and uneven ground in some areas.

Accessible parking and facilities will be available.

Guests with mobility concerns should be aware that weather conditions may affect parts of the farm.

Can I take photographs?

Yes. Personal photography is encouraged.

By entering the Games, guests acknowledge that photographs and video may be taken for promotional and media purposes.

Who is appearing at the Games?

Featured entertainment includes:

The Marshall Tucker Band, Albannach, Seven Nations, Scottish pipe bands, Highland dancing and Athletics,  Massed bands performances, Monster  trucks displays

Performance schedules will be released closer to the event.

Can the public attend Friday events?

Friday events are reserved for participating clans, sponsors, invited guests, pipe bands, and approved participants.

This includes the Calling of the Clans and Clan Reception.

Is the event family friendly?

Yes. The Tidewater Highland Games is designed as a family event with activities for all ages.

What activities are available for children?

Family activities are expected to include:

Kids’ Zone, Face painting, Archery, Axe throwing activities, Hands-on games and activities, Farm and animal experiences

Greenbrier Farms is a working Virginia farm established in 1916, with open pasture, mature oak trees, and a historic farmhouse.

Parking is available, including accessible parking. Limited camping pitches are available.

Service animals are welcome. Pets are not permitted.
